Hajer Khader Bziri is the founder of Bairro Arab @bairroarabe The daughter of immigrants in France, now an immigrant herself in Lisbon, she began noticing familiar Arabic words in the language around her. Today she leads walking tours through the city’s overlooked Muslim history. What stayed with us was a gravestone, hidden in a wall for centuries until the 1755 earthquake brought it back to the surface. Some stories get buried. We believe in bringing them back.
